Ride with the Angels

Rubber Smokin' Angels is a Biker Club in Pune, that came into existence on 15th October 2003. It was kick started by few like-minded people sharing hardcore passion for motorcycles and motorcycling. The founder of the club is Rohit Paradkar a.k.a Rash. From the start itself, the club has focussed on all the aspects of motorcycling. Like even today, the club has three basic categories that include 'Stunts', 'Drags', 'Long Rides' and soon 'Touring' and 'Motocross' will be added to it. The members have to choose, one of the above mentioned categories once they are a part of the club. The club desires that all its members are capable of enjoying motorcycling thoroughly and safely. The club does not entertain any posers and on lookers. So, 'If You got to be an Angel, you got to do what the Angels do.' That is when the club's baseline gets the meaning when we say "Ride with the Angels."

One can choose any of the three sections and try to master himself in it. There are proving rounds that happen, where the members are given their due levels starting from level '1', going till level '3' being the best. The expenses incurred for the videos, photography, editing, food, events, etc. are split equally between the members as contribution. Club's basic essence lies in enjoying the various aspects of motorcycling with responsibility. Thus, the Club does not compromise on discipline and safety at any level. Helmets are compulsory for every meet. No member is entertained without a Helmet. There are further rules that one can go through on this blog in another section. The club's ultimate aim is to cater to all the needs of bikers and set standards that are hard to compete with for anyone, in the meagerly evolving field of motorcycling.

Our meets happen every Sunday at different locations in and around Pune, depending upon the kind of meet is decided. For example whether its stunts, drags, city meet or then a long ride.

Motorcycle Stunting

RSA, started as a stunt group, has stood the test of time and evolved into the other aspects of motorcycling. But still stunts are one of the field where we are constantly trying our level best and breaking bones and crashing bikes just to put ourselves and the machines to the ultimate test of endurance, skills and commitment towards this new breed of sport "Motorcycle Stunting".

Drag Racing

In the 111cc-160cc Class, Sagar Dangat [HH CBZ] bagged 3rd place.

Drag racing has always been more appreciated and welcomed by the motorsport bodies all over the world. Nothing different in India too. But even then there is just one annual drag event that happens, that is the AutoCar Speed Run. In the year 2005, RSA went to Speed Run Mumbai, just to see and learn about the various intricacies that are part of a drag racing team.

In the year 2006, the Angels went there as underdogs, but only to return back as the undisputed champions. The club members showed immensed dedication, worked very hard and in the end Glory came our way.

This year again we will put in equal amount of efforts for Speed Run and do our level best.

Long Rides

Long Rides are something that take up the whole day, but are fun nevertheless. Usually the distance we cover is in the range of 150-400Km to and fro. We also have week-end rides where over-night stay is organised. It is very hard to put in words regarding long rides. Still one of our member has tried his best to do so.
