had a ride at mutha today. some observations:
1. went on a hot afternoon and there was still too much traffic.
2. there is no way anyone can learn the lines there. and i say this after one trackday at Kari motor speedway. what you learn on a real track in one day, you can never ever learn on a public road.
and lines are more critical than lean angles from the point of view of lap times and riding satisfaction.
3. i dont want to put you guys down. mutha can be used as a 'tool' to perfect your body positioning, weight distribution, etc. but it is of no point turning this into a competition because the bravest will win.
i have to caution the fine folks here that now the timings for the runs are dropping and the day wont be far when someone will take some undue risk and you have a major accident on your hands.
all this for bragging rights?
again, i am not saying that the guys with the fastest times are rash but this is what i see as a natural progression of events in the future.
possible solution...
please let the pleasure of a fantastic ride remain.
i may sound ridiculous but how about holding an event in say... balevadi or some closed area like an unused industrial layout. it was already the venue of a SS stage for APRC a few years ago. it did not happen due to poor light conditions is annother issue but they had allowed for it.
the excitement on this blog for fast and techical riding is at its peak now and people will pay to ride on a closed track and improve themselves.
i spent around 15000 to ride a rx100 shared with my friends at the Kari speedway and trust me... its well worth it.
a small event near pune will cost a fraction of this.

Dude,
Why don't u just manage to find some time out of Your busy schedule, like we all do, and Ride with the Angels, AT LEAST once, before you pass any judgment regarding the club's activities?
Looking forward to seeing you at one of our Meets or if you would like, we can simply Ride to Lavasa one day just the few of us and You, so that we can have a proper uninterrupted interaction and understand each others opinions over chai and bhajjis at Lavasa. Say wat?
sounds nice. :-)
